I have a machine in Forest B setup so the helpdesk of Forest A can login with their account from Forest A and create mailboxes. They have permissions and can create a new linked mailbox with powershell. The problem is I can’t get EMC to start and see the following error: The following error occurred when retrieving user information for 'domain\userid': (From forest A) The operation couldn't be performed because object 'S-1-5-21-1495752318 (etc)' couldn't be found on 'DC.local'. (from forest B) It was running the command 'Get-LogonUser'. The SID listed is the user account SID. I’ve tried this both on VM’s and physical boxes with the same results (there was a bug with VM a while ago). The Forest B DC can’t resolve the SID account from forest A. 2 way trust is in place and it does work in powershell from the same machine. This does not appear to be a machine duplicate SID issue.
