Exchange 2010 Prepare forest
Hi folks. We have a dedicated forest root domain(a.com)And for each location there is a child domain. (brazil.a.com) (usa.a.com) etc.We will not install exchange 2010 on forest root level bur each location(child domain) will have their owa exchange 2010 inside the same forest(a.com)But what about the preparing commands best practices?Should i run prepare/schema and prepera/alldomans on root level although we will not install exchange at this level? After that start installation on each childdomain?Or should i run prepare/schema and prepera/alldomain on a child location with a user that has schema admin rgihts ?Thanks.

Hello,The adprep /prepareSchema must be run on the forest root schema master because as you may know there is only one schema master in the forest. Also you can run the one time prepera=e /alldomains or you can go to each domain and run the adprep /prepareadIsaac Oben MCITP:EA, MCSE

You will probably have to run PrepareSchema from the root
domain becuase of permissions, so that question is probably moot.
PrepareAllDomains will prepare all the domains as long as the
account you're using has sufficient rights, including the root domain,
regardless of where you run it, so it really doesn't make any
difference.
Therefore, I would just run both from the root domain and
ensure that your account has rights in all domains.
