Exchange 2010 Public Folder content age limit Question
I am getting ready to roll out retention policy at my company. I have been asked to also include public folders contents, but not the Public folders themselves.. It this possible in Exchange 2010? Is it the age limit setting? Please help.

Retention in Exchange is powered by Messaging Records Management. MRM only applies to mailboxes. I guess it depends on how you whant to enforce the age limits on the folder contents. You can set a default age limit on folder contents at the public folder store. That applies to everything . . . unless You set an AgeLimit on the individual public folder. That supercedes the age limit from the store and applies to all replicas of the public folder . . . unless You set LocalReplicaAgeLimit on individual replicas of the public folder. That supercedes the AgeLimit from the folder. --- Rich Matheisen MCSE+I, Exchange MVP --- Rich Matheisen MCSE+I, Exchange MVP

Rich, thanks. I was referring to "content" of PF's as stated in the OP. It seemed Denise wasn't looking to lose the whole folder. Mike Crowley Check out My Blog!
