Exchange 2010 Replication Issue
We are running two Excahnge 2010 for redundnacy. When we try to restore a contact uisng Barracuda backup, we can't make it work. So we open a case with Barracuda tech support. They said they have restored the datatase on a Recovery Folder of the mail02 (standby server). But we can't see the database in the fodler. The Event Viewer logs ID 2137 every 5 minutes as shown below. After I do more study, we found they restored the database in the original location meaning the restored database replaces real database so that we get the replication error. How can we fix it? Log Name: Application Source: MSExchangeRepl Date: 11/19/2010 9:28:20 PM Event ID: 2137 Task Category: Service Level: Warning Keywords: Classic User: N/A Computer: EXCH-MAIL02.domain.org Description: RPC request to the Microsoft Exchange Information Store service for log truncation failed for database Exec Database 1\EXCH-MAIL02. Error: 4294965485. Hi, If I understand correctly you are having DAG, Its looking mail02 is standby server so you can reseed databse from primary server and its will correct replication issue. Plese go thru below link and see section "Seeding Database Copies" http://www.msexchange.org/articles_tutorials/exchange-server-2010/high-availability-recovery/uncovering-exchange-2010-database-availability-groups-dags-part4.htmlAnil
