Exchange 2010 SP1 Rollup 3 - Resource Booking and Managing Distro lists
I have 2 questions. 1. Managing Distribution lists Even though a user is configured in the managed by field (within Exchange Management Console) they are unable to update distrobution lists. When attempting to add users to a distribution list within Outlook the following error is received. "Changes to public group membership cannont be saved. You do not have suffienct permissions to perform this operation on this object." 2. Booking meetings with resources When a meeting is booked with a resource all is fine as long as there is not a conflict. If there is a conflict the resource mailboxes are configured to decline the invite (which they do, resource mailboxes work fine). But, the invite is still sent to the users who can accept. This also occurs with existing meetings that are moved to a time that the resource is already booked, the resource will decline but the attendees meeting will be updated on their calendars. So, yeah moving meetings that once had resources no longer do.... Kris

Hi Kris, For 1: Please refer to below: http://blogs.technet.com/b/exchange/archive/2009/11/18/3408844.aspx For 2: It is expected. Because one would make a descision by himself/hereself whether they want to accept. But, when the organizer send the request to the person, a warning would be showed depends on the the person's free/busy information. If you want to mailbox auto processing the request, you could configure the mailbox's properties -> calendaring setting -> automate processing -> check the processing requests ... Regards!
