Exchange 2010 SP2 calendar retention
Hello,
I don't really understand how the retention works for calendar items in exchange 2010 SP2.
I read the technet article "How retention is calculated" and it states that Non-recurring calendar items expire according to their end date.
But you can not set a retention tag to delete calendar items so I was wondering when of how the calendar items will be removed from a calendar?
Thanks for the help.
Best regards,
Jurgen

Hi,
As I know, there's no support for retention tags for the Calendar, Tasks, and Contacts folders.
From my perspective, you can remove expired calendar items by setting Auto archive.
Please give it a shot.

Thank you for the answers.
We sometimes have users that attach files to meeting requests so we would like to have a retention on calendar items.
Strange that this isn't supported any more.

Jurgen

Although not visible in EMC console, tags for calendar, tasks and contacts appear to be supported via EMS.
http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/dd335226.aspx
But http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb430780.aspx says they aren't supported. Both say they apply to Exchange 2010 SP2.
I guess the proof is in the testing...
