Exchange 2010 SP2 default Retention Policy - without Notes Archiving?
Hi there,
We had one default Retention Polciy applied for all mailboxes. This Policy moves all Items older then 3 months to the online / personal archive. Now our question, how we can exclude the notes folder from this default retention policy without creating
personal tags/policies?

Its not Possible to Exclude Notes from Move all Item Retention Tag in Exchange 2010 Sp2
Its by Design in MRM 2.0

Notes
This folder contains notes created by users in Outlook. These notes are also visible in Outlook Web App. RPTs for the Notes folder are supported only in Exchange 2010 SP1.

Yes, it is not possible to Exclude Notes from Move all Item Retention Tag in Exchange 2010 SP2. The workaround is to have users apply the Personal never move to archive personal tag (displayed as Never usder Archive policy in Outlook/OWA)to a default folder.
