Exchange 2010 Setup /PrepareAD Not working
Hi Guys,
I am trying to type:- Setup /PrepareAD
I get the reply :- The term 'Setup' is not recognized as the name of a cmdlet....
Can anybody help? I'm using Win 2008 R2 Ent.

Are you running this command from a command prompt? Do you have the Exchnge 2010 installation media? Make sure the path is correct and you have setup.exe program.

Hello Ry,
You mentioned cmdlet, it seems you are using powershell to run adprep? if this is the case, then you will need to use the regular command.exe. Powershell will not recognized the adprep command.
Go to start run, type cmd, enter, cd directory to the Exchange installation media location and run the adprep command [X:\Exchange2010\Setup /PrepareAD] where X is the location of your media

Guys,
Yesterday, I did realise I was using powershell ha ha... my bad!! "silly me, it had been one of those days"
I had just finished insatlling all the prereq's and then got carried away, and tried a cmd in pwsh. ;-/
