Exchange 2010 Storage Quota not updating
Exchange 2010, SP1. All users have a 2 Gb limit, set at the Mailbox Database, Properties, Limits tab.
A user had reached his 2 Gb limit, and is prevented from sending new emails (per the above settings)
Increased this user's limits via his Mailbox, Mailbox Settings, Storage Quotas.
I unchecked "Use mailbox database defaults."
All other check boxes in his Storage quotas are unchecked.
It has been two days, but the user is still prevented from sending emails.
Do I need to do additional steps?Lou H.

Things to try:
1. Remount store.
2. Restart IS service.
3. Move mailbox to another store.
Does Get-MailboxStatistics show that this user is over their limit?

1. I will remount store tonight.
2. Do you mean IIS?
3. We only have one store.
4. This is the results of get-mailboxstatistic -identity pizarrdr:
DisplayName ItemCount StorageLimitStatus
LastLogonTime

If he was over the limit, would there be additional information?
The user's Outlook client reports Send/Receive error that he is unable to send emails because of reaching the limit.

No, I as referring to the Information Store service on the mbx server.
However, before doing all that, check the client itself. Is Outlook in cache mode? If so, close Outlook, delete the associated .ost file, and re-open Outlook to recreate the cache.
Can the user send from OWA?

Thank you, deleting the .ost file seemed to fix it, without having to restart IS.Lou H.
