Exchange 2010 and IE 11

My organization just recently pushed IE 11 out and I am finding that Microsoft Exchange ECP 2010 no longer works and crashes with an error message "a long running script....  something....."    or "the webpage has stopped responding"...

If we use the current version of Chrome all works fine.

Is this a server setting that I need to change in Exchange or do we need to customize IE11 to work with it?

Appreciate any fee

Hi Jason,

Generally, there is no need to make any changes in Exchange server when you change or upgrade a bowser.Since the issue occurs when using IE 11, I think the issue may be related to the browser side. Please use IE 10 in a machine to access ECP 2010 and check whether the issue persists.

Additionally, please try to use Internet Explorer 11 in compatibility mode to access OWA and ECP. To do this, press F10 to display the menu bar, go to the Tools menu in Internet Explorer 11, and then click Compatibility View settings. Then, add the OWA/ECP site to the list of sites to be viewed in compatibility view.

Also confirm whether the recent IE updates KB3038314 is installed in your machine. Please uninstalled it to have a try.

Did not have a IE 10 machine available to me at the moment.

Trying IE11 in compatibility mode did not resolve.

Trying IE11 using F12 (Developer Mode) attempted to view the page in Document Mode 10 (not sure if this is the same as IE10 or not) and the issue remains.   Exchange 2010 ECP is available for a few seconds but then I get an error: domain.com is not responding due to a long-running script.

(domain.com equals our domain)

Thoughts on getting the Microsoft Browser working with the Microsoft Web Server?

We have started to have the same issues. We have been on IE for some time without issues. We have manual RBAC rules to allow users to edit selected contacts.

Chrome works but pops up with ! : "There are more results available than are currently displayed. Enter a complete or partial display name in the search box above to find them"

Will try this in the LAB to confirm issue and fix

By editing the web.config file on the server which resides in C: \ Program Files \ Microsoft \ Exchange Server \ V15 \ ClientAccess \ ecp \

add the following under the appsettings section of the file.

<add key="GetListDefaultResultSize" value="1000" />

Thank you for the information Josh, trying to duplicate the problem I can no longer get it to fail.   But I still value your information very much.

ok after a bit more digging i'd say that you now have KB3058515 deployed which has resolved the issue in this case. My first comment was off track.
