Exchange 2010 deleted users mailbox missing
Hi All We have 2 AD servers with Server 2008 R2, Exchange 2010 on Server 2008 R2. We have deleted a user from AD and the mailbox did not go into a disconnected state. There are no errors in the event log. I do have a backup which will be about 8 hours old but i want to know why it didnt go into a disconnected state? Has anyone come across this or have i done something wrong?

If you want the mailbox to show in the Disconnect Mailboxes right away run: Clean-MailboxDatabase "DatabaseName" from the EMS. Then refresh the Disconnected Mailbox node. This process runs nightly during the maintenance window. http://howdouc.blogspot.com/2010/07/disconnected-mailboxes-in-exchange.htmlTim Harrington - Catapult Systems - http://HowDoUC.blogspot.com

Has anyone come across this or have i done something wrong? Try running the clean-mailbox cmdlet. Or just wait for the IS service to recognize that the mailbox no longer has a user object in the AD. --- Rich Matheisen MCSE+I, Exchange MVP --- Rich Matheisen MCSE+I, Exchange MVP
