Having NLB for getting the HA (although is not properly HA), is fine as well. Note: I do not want to use a hw load balancer in this scenario. I still have some doubts: 1 - i would like to use 2 x CAS/HUB servers, configure NLB (for all services: EAS, OWA, Outlook, SMTP et.c.) and it seems it can be done via NLB. 2 - How can i have HA on the edge servers for these services (EAS, OWA, SMTP In), I have read i should use MX for SMTP (2 separate MX), is there another way? Can the 2 edges load balance EAS and OWA connections? In other words, can the 2 edges load balance SMTP In, EAS and OWA? What i'm trying to do is to have a full redundant scenario for EAS, OWA and SMTP (Inbound) services Can you suggest the best scenario that matches my questions, without using a hw load balancer? Hello, the Edge server only handles SMTP. OWA and EAS are handled by the CAS servers. The best method would be to publish the CAS virtual directory via a TMG server. Greetings, Toni

Hi doni, i know this. Just wanted to know if it's possible to combine TMG+Edge roles on 2 machines with NLB between them. In this case i could have fault tolerance on SMTP, EAS and OWA What do you think? L
