Exchange 2010 memory usage (w3wp.exe and store.exe)
We've recently deployed Exchange 2010 and migrated 1300+ mailboxes from Exchange 2003 .... We've noticed that on a typical work day our new server is consuming a constant 18GB of memory (out of 20GB) ... The resource monitor shows that all the memory usage is being utilized by STORE.exe and multiple (6) processes of W3WP.exe... ...Is this normal?

Yeah, pretty much. Did you run the numbers against the MS calculator spreadsheet? That would have told you how much memory to put in the box. The mailbox size, messages transmitted and other factors affect sizing. I guess you would have run those numbers otherwise how would you have known to put 20GB in the box. Thank You .. Just wasn't sure if it was supposed to "constantly consume" that amount... and needed to reassure myself...
