Hello i try to recover Exchange server 2010 on a test machine with option setup /m:recoverserver my steps: 1 turn off old server with installed Exchage 2010 (name mxn.test.local) 2 reset computer accaunt in AD 2 install new server 2008 r2 3 Enter new server in domain with old name (mxn.test.local) 4 install exchange components (servermanagercmd -ip "d:\exchange\scripts\exchange-typical.xml") 5 And whan i tried to install new Exchange server with option "setup /m:recoverserver" i got a next error Cannot specify installation mode because no Exchange server is installed on this machine. Install Exchange Server. Server is not found in Active Directory. Server must be present in Active Direc tory to recover. Exchange Server setup encountered an error. pl explain me how to ensure the settings of old exchange server still exist in the AD?

Hi Remove it from the domain and restart, then rejoin it again.
