Yes, like Sneff said, to uninstall a role from Exchange 2010 you have to "uncheck" the box.  Seems backwards but that's the way it works.  "Check" to install a role, "uncheck" to uninstall a role.  Hope this helps.

Thank you for your question.

This error means there are some information which was existed in AD database, we could delete it by ADsiedit.msc, then uninstall it from Control and Feature to check if the issue persist:

1. Run ADsiedit.msc in RUN
2. Navigate to Configuration [<domainController>.contoso.com]> CN=Configuration,DC=contoso,DC=com> CN=Services> CN=Microsoft Exchange> CN=<OrganizationName> CN=Administrative Group> CN=Exchange Administrative Group>CN=Serve
3. Delete the server which you want to uninstall and force AD replication
4. Then uninstall the Exchange server from Control and Feature
