Exchange 2010 users being disconnected intermittently
Hello
We are running Exchange 2010 SP1. Clients are Outlook 2007 SP2.
Topology is :
Outlook clients > Hardware Load Balancer > CAS Array (CAS1, CAS2, CAS3) > Exchange 2010 Database on Mailbox servers
One of our users says that his Outlook is showing disconnected every 15mins or so, then reconnects, then disconnects etc. The pattern is irregular.
We have just deployed Exchange 2010 in an early adopter type scenario (everyone else is on 2007), so I'm not sure of the best practice method to resolve this. I was thinking of using get-mailboxlogonstatistics to identify the CAS server the user is connecting
to, but then I am lost. What tools/PS commands can I use to identify where the issue is?
If anyone else logs onto his machine, they are fine,so it's not a local issue

Hi,
I understand that outlook users lose connection to Exchange from time to time.
Does this issue only occur to one user?
If yes, then please try to manually configure outlook profile with certain CAS server name and then test the issue.
Please verify if this user access mailbox via Outlook online/cache mode or outlook anywhere.
Please try to use test e-mailautoconfiguration and then post the result here.
Please verify if the issue would happen when (s)he access mailbox via OWA.
If the issue occur to all the outlook users, then I suspect that the issue could be HLB related.
What is HLB that you use? Please try to use ExBPA to have a health check.

Besides, I think you may try to enable mailbox access audit for that user.
