I am having problems installing Exchange 2010 w/sp1 on server 2008r2 w/sp1, The account has the permissions you could ask for and more. have run all pre-reqs, ap prep, schema prep, ect. all fsmo roles have been updated/transferred to a new 2008r2 DC. There is currently an Exchange 2003 server in the enviroment that all mailboxes, ect will be migrated to the new 2010 server. I have ran all the tests you can imagine, dcdiag, dsdiag, ect. this server can see everything in the domain. I get the same thing either via elevated cmd or from the gui below is the error I keep getting. Please my message again carefully. I have performed everything you had mentioned. this is a single domain that has a total of 8 servers, 4 of which will be decommissioned once the new exchange has been installed. The server can talk, ping, resolve, ect to the domain controller. The account has all of the needed permissions and more. regardsBryan May

I understand Bmay -- When you Revert the OS - It reverts only the OS information But the AD information Never gets Reverted it will have the Entries of your OLd hub failed information only -- So Format the Machine or Create a New VM with a Different Name and install it Or you got to remove the Server object from Adsiedit and Format the machine - Reset the Computer account Join the machine into the domain again And start the setup again. --Satheshwaran Manoharan | Exchange 2003/2007/2010/2013 | Blog:http://www.careexchange.in | Please mark it as an answer if it really helps you ------------- I do not represent the organisation I work for, all the opinions expressed here are my own. Incorrect, when you revert from a snap shot, it takes it back to the original state when you took the snap shot. this is not Hyper-v, this is vmware. Also, I have done both, deleted the vm and started over and reverted from snap shot, and get the same results. Bryan May

Setup Does Numerous Changes in Active Directory When you Revert the Snapshot you mean to say ? Active Directory Objects get deleted and starts from Scratch ==== You can see your server object in the below location in the Active directory even after your "Revert" -- Click Start, point to Programs, point to Windows 2000 Support Tools, point to Tools, and then click ADSI Edit. Expand the following items: Configuration Container CN=Configuration, DC=<var>Domain_Name</var>,DC=com CN=Services CN=Microsoft Exchange CN=<var>Your_Organization_Name</var> CN=Administrative Groups CN=<var>Your_Administrative_Group_Name_Or_Exchange5.5_Site_Name</var> CN=Servers == Satheshwaran Manoharan | Exchange 2003/2007/2010/2013 | Blog:http://www.careexchange.in | Please mark it as an answer if it really helps you ------------- I do not represent the organisation I work for, all the opinions expressed here are my own. Its not Possible-- As because For Example Take a Snapshot of your Exchange2010 Sp1 -- Upgrade to Sp2 -- When your Revert only your machines information and Registry get reverted Not your AD information -- Until you do a Restore of the AD - you cannot acheive that.Satheshwaran Manoharan | Exchange 2003/2007/2010/2013 | Blog:http://www.careexchange.in | Please mark it as an answer if it really helps you ------------- I do not represent the organisation I work for, all the opinions expressed here are my own.
