Dear Team,

We are using on premises exchange 2013.

When we try to configure email notification for our firewall getting error message like that "Authentication Method mismatch. Please confirm the authentication Method support for LOGIN or LOGIN PLAIN on the mail server.".

So we checked with firewall vendor they informed us that "firewall Support only PLAIN Method for login in the Mail NOtification Client"

So we need to Enable PLAIN Method Authentication on Exchange 2013, for this which configuration needs to be done on Exchange Side.

Could you tell me more details which is email notification for our firewall ?

By default, Exchange deliver email by encryption, it will be more secured for communication. We suggest you could contact to your firewall vendor to use cipher text. If not, we want to which virtual directory you are using.

we need to enable email notification on this UTM device.
