Exchange 2013 Mailbox Migration Queueing

I have an on-premises Exchange 2013 [Version 15.0 (Build 847.32)] with an issue preventing me from migrating mailboxes between databases.

When I log into Exchange Admin Center it shows 6 Alerts from the drop down near the top right, which are previously queued mailbox migrations.  If I click on "View Details" from the drop down it takes me to the "Migration" tab and says "There are no items to show in this view."

When I run the Exchange Management Shell command Get-MoveRequest | Remove-MoveRequest it prompted me to clear 4 move requests but at the top of EAC it still shows 6 queued migrations and any time I try to migrate it just gets queued.

Hello

tip:

Get-MigrationBatch | remove-MigrationBatch not help?

That doesn't change anything.  In Exchange Admin Center I still have 6 alerts of queued migrations and am unable to start any.  The migration tab still shows nothing as well.

Hi,

Please run the below command to check the queued requests

Get-MoveRequest MoveStatus queued

The following example returns default statistics for all mailboxes whose move requests are in progress or haven't been cleared for the database MBXDB02.

Get-MoveRequestStatistics -MoveRequestQueue "MBXDB02"

Then restart the Exchange Mailbox Replication Service to test.

David

Consider doing everything in the shell.  I find that it works a lot better and you don't have to go through the migration batch rigamarole.

That's what I do now to migrate, but EAC still shows queued migrations that don't exist and I was hoping to fix that.

Hi David,

When I run the Get-MoveRequest -MoveStatus queued command it doesn't give any information after the command runs, just goes to the next line.

When I run the Get-MoveRequestStatistics -MoveRequestQueue "database name" it does the exact same thing as the previous command, leading me to believe that the Exchange Management Shell doesn't believe there are any migrations happening for any of the databases our server has mounted.

I can still migrate users via shell, I'm just looking to clear up the alerts area in EAC.

Thanks,

Peter
