Exchange 2013 host multiple domains

Hi All I was wondering if it is possible to host multiple domains with Exchange 2013. Ideally I would like to have two or more completely separate domains where Outlook would be able to connect seamlessly to anyone of the domains. I have tried making Exchange authoritative for for both domains but all it seems to be able to do is add mailboxes to a existing account. I don't know if this is possible with Exchange 2013 or not.

Anyone have any thoughts?

Thanks in advance

not sure whether you are talking about separate ad forests or separate email domains.

if all in same firest then adding accepted domains allows you to provision new users with either email address space in the same ad forest.

if separate ad forests then look into linked mailboxes where you can give a mailbox to a user from another trusted domain outside the ad forest where exchange is installed.

Dear Tim,

Kindly point out if I am wrong here.

I think you have tried to configure another accepted domain as authoritative.
As you have stated, you are able to see the mailboxes from the other domain as well.

Now, if you want to set policies on the new mailboxes, you can easily do so...

Your point "host multiple domains" is a bit confusing kindly elaborate on that.

Hi Jon

Thanks for the reply, yes I was referring to both multiple forests and email domains as well. Sorry for the confusion.

Yes the tip on Linked Mailboxes worked great thanks. It was snap to setup as well.

Thanks again.
