Hello,
There is no such requirement. If you want to install Exchange in D:\ Drive, try the following unattended installation command
Setup.exe /mode:Install /role:ClientAccess,Mailbox /TargetDir:"D:\Exchange Server" /IAcceptExchangeServerLicenseTerms

It doesn't really matter where you install the binaries, just make sure you don't install them on a drive that contains any databases :). I usually recommend clients to go along with whatever their standard practices are for servers. If you
install all binaries on the C:\ drive then go with that. If you have a dedicated drive for the OS (c:\) and another for all other applications, then that's fine as well.

Hi Baker,
Thank you for your question.
We could follow PhilP and Hintes advice. We could install Exchange on D drive without any problem.
I suggest we install Exchange with OS drive, because it can save time and avoid some errors when OS call application.
If there are any questions regarding this issue, please be free to let me know.
Best Regard,
Jim
