Is it Windows Server 2008 or 2003?If it is Windows Server 2008, please check the below setting on the IIS7:1, Verify Kernel mode authentication is disabled for- AutoDiscover- EWS- OABa. Highlight the virtual directory (for example, AutoDiscover) and double-click on Authentication.b. Click on Windows Authentication to highlight it, and then click on Advanced Settings.c. Uncheck Enable Kernel-mode Authentication to remove the setting. d. Click OK to save the setting. e. After days of searching this was just what I was looking for. Thank you!!!! We have two CAS servers that are running Windows 2008. We were getting cert errors using Exchange 2007 and Outlook 2007. We followed the resolution at http://support.microsoft.com/kb/940726 which fixed the cert errors but then the free/busy, Out of office stopped working on the Outlook 2007 clients. We setup the DNS srv record like the following article suggets and still had problems. http://support.microsoft.com/kb/940881. Once I disabled Kernel mode authentication and set SSL to ignore client certificates on our two CAS servers I was able to get autoconfiguration to work on our network.
