Exchange Back End Website on CAS Only Server

I'm having a terrible time trying to get SSL Offloading setup on my Exchange 2013 CAS servers.  But that's in another post :)

I got fed up at one point and did an uninstall/reinstall of one of the two CAS servers.  I installed the new one directly from the CU7 Media, my originals were installed from the SP1 media.

The Point of this post is that the 'Exchange Back End' site on the newly installed server is pointing to a completely different location than on the server installed from the SP1 media.  I can't find any reference telling me this was intentional so I'm not sure if I should change it to be like the original install, or if the default folder has changed.

Basically on the server installed from the SP1 media (And upgraded to CU 7), the 'Exchange Back End' site points to "C:\inetpub\wwwroot"

While the fresh CU 7 Install points to "E:\Program Files\Microsoft\Exchange Server\V15\ClientAccess"

Was this an intentional Design change or did something go wonky during the installation? Can someone point me to documentation of what it is supposed to be on a CU 7 CAS server?

Thanks

Dave

Hi Dave,

I'v checked in my lab, the default location is "C:\inetpub\wwwroot".

I notice that the CU7 install points to "E:\Program Files\Microsoft\Exchange Server\V15\ClientAccess", did you have a custom installation and choose the installation path to E:\ ?

Thanks
