I patched on one of the Win2K3 exchange cluster servers, moved the resources to the passive node before patching. When I am trying to failback the resources back to the active node, most of the resources are coming offline and when i tried moving back the resources to passive node the all resources are coming up online. how to get this sorted and what would have caused the issue?

have you checked your event logs there should be some info about it. Normally this is the correct way to update your cluster
