Exchange Errors - Event 1023 Extended!
I have an annoying error on my outlook client where it reports that a “message” is no longer available or could have been deleted. http://www.darkpearl.co.za/ms/ClientError.jpg I am not mixing exchange and internet email accounts in the same profile. I have just recently setup a brand new installation of windows 7 and office 2010 at work, and the error never went away. (Thinking I had something corrupted on my side). I logged into OWA, in thinking that I can find this message and remove it. Indeed I found it! But, it’s corrupted... Wont delete, won’t display anything. All other mail will work perfectly in my client or on the OWA, except for this one message… http://www.darkpearl.co.za/ms/OWAPIC.jpg I tried setting up an IMAP account on a separate profile to remove this message (same as OWA I guess but had to try) but of course I just got this error… http://www.darkpearl.co.za/ms/IMAPERROR.jpg I am filling up the event logs of course, it’s not a problem, as mail still works, but as a perfectionist in the IT world, this bugs me a lot and I want to try fix it, lol. http://www.darkpearl.co.za/ms/EVENTERROR.jpg My second last attempt, I ran Ex-merge with archive option, to wipe the mail db, was successful in its own operation, but alas… the message is still there… The only thing I can think of now is to actually delete the entire active directory account with its mailbox, and recreate it… but this I feel is a weak way out… Does anyone have any ideas? Would be a great learning curve! ;) PS: the Above info is in full at this website address incase the image links above are not "user friendly" in this post. http://www.darkpearl.co.za/ms/ErrorExplained.html

Thanks for sharing Navarro ! So you have only one message which is giveing you trouble. Please try to move your mailbox in other mailbox database and give some value in option of "Skip courrepted Message". This can exclude that message when you move mailbox and then check. Anil

Hi Anil Worked perfectly! thank you. I am sneaking behind our Admins back ofcourse, ;), they actually had no clue themselves to the solution. I do have one question though. After the move to the second store, it left behind the old mailbox (it has a red cross through it). I connected the new one to my user account, and the old one has no account associated with it, only options is "connect" or "purge". But if i try purge the old one, it says: "The Operation cannot be performed because this mailbox was already reconnected to an existing user" - if i try reconnect it to a temp account, it also says the same thing. Should I disconnect the new one to run tasks on the old one? I just want to get rid of ot though. ;) Thanks again though.

OK nevermind i decided to experiment. ;) i dis-associated exchange features (account) from the new mailbox, so that they both have a red x through them, then purged the old one, and reconnected the new one. Anywayz thanks again! ;)
