Exchange Hosted Services
We are interested in signing up forContent Filtering through Exchange Hosted Services, but we are unsure about how we actually go about protecting our accounts. Wehavea Select account, andI have spoken to our reseller who has advised as that the easiest way of starting to use the Hosted Services is to purchase Exchange Enterprise CALs. However, what I am unsure of is how we actually start protecting our mail after we have purchased the CALs. Do we need 1 CAL per physical user or 1 CAL per mailbox? Can we protect more than 1 domain? Any help would be appreciated. Any

Hi,CALs are available in two different way, per-user or per-device so it depends on which kind of CAL you planning to buy, if per-user then you need CAL for each mailbox and if you have shared workstation then you can go for per-device to use multiple mailboxes on same device. From Exchange server side, basically you need to configure it to send/receive email through hosted service. How to Configure Internet Mail Flow Through Exchange Hosted Services or an External SMTP Gatewayhttp://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb738161.aspxHere are some of the resources on Hosted Filtering administration and hands-on....TechNet Webcast: Implementing Exchange Hosted Filtering (Level 200)http://msevents.microsoft.com/CUI/WebCastEventDetails.aspx?EventID=1032370836&EventCategory=5&culture=en-US&CountryCode=USTechNet Virtual Lab: E-Mail Filtering Using Microsoft Exchange Hosted Filteringhttp://msevents.microsoft.com/CUI/WebCastEventDetails.aspx?EventID=1032311403&EventCategory=3&culture=en-US&CountryCode=USYou can add multiple domains, check out admin guide...Filtering Administration Guidehttp://download.microsoft.com/download/d/8/4/d849fed1-1c04-44ac-80c4-7849ce8a0931/filtering_administration_guide_mehs.docAmit Tank | MVP - Exchange | MCITP:EMA MCSA:M | http://ExchangeShare.WordPress.com
