Exchange Server (2003) name is not readable from AD
Hello,
I have a big problem. I changed the security of the adminitrative group in the system manager of exchange server 2003.
Now the exhange server is no more visible in the system manager. if I want to start exchange i get error message in the application log MSExchangeSA 9149 the server could not start. I found that the problem is that the exchangeserver name is no more readable
from AD.
So I tried ADSIEdit so look for the rights in Services\Micosoft Exchange\Ex...\Administraive Groups\Servers
So I can see the Servername and is correct. But I can't open the properties and I can't change the security on this entry. I get an error from adsiedit that the folder path is not valid from the server entry. I'm sure that if I could change the security
rights on that all is running again but don't know how.
Please help!

I could solve that problem by resetting the security rights to ADS value with dsacls
dsacls "CN=<servername>,CN=Servers,CN=Erste administrative Gruppe,CN=Administrative Groups,CN=<SITE>,CN=Microsoft Exchange,CN=Services,CN=Configuration,DC=<DOM>,DC=<DOM>" /R Jeder
for user everyone (jeder).
However, I tried to do this with ADSIEdit, but with this tool it what impossible to do that.
Now error "Die Microsoft Exchange-Systemaufsicht konnte den Exchange-Server '<SERVERNAME>' nicht starten. Fehlercode '0x80072030'", MSExchangeSA .9149 is solved.
Thanks for no comment!
