Exchange Server 2003, mail undeliverable message
I have a user who passed away. I don't want to delete his mail, but want anyone who sends him mail to get an undeliverable message. How do I do this?

I would suggest actually creating a rule to respond to email so people trying to reach them they know this. This is probably a better user experience then an NDR.Mark Morowczynski|MCSE 2003:Messaging, Security|MCITP: Enterprise Support|MCTS:Windows Mobile Admin|Security+|http://almostdailytech.com

Yes, agree with Mark, it doesn't generate NDR if just user ID is disabled and still receives email. You need to set out-of-office or a auto reply, check below similar thread for further detail. http://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/exchangesvradmin/thread/eb3c4c24-ad22-41b3-9538-8e888917dc2c/ Additional Reading: How to deal with users leaving the Organization http://msexchangeteam.com/archive/2006/02/17/419848.aspx Amit Tank | MVP - Exchange | MCITP:EMA MCSA:M | http://ExchangeShare.WordPress.com
