Exchange Server 2003 reboots and sends out emails
I had to reboot my Exchange 2003 Server yesterday and now I have a problem:It is now resending emails thatwere sent from 4 to 9 months ago. Has anyone seen this before, how can I prevent it from happening again.

The only time I have seen this is when a client had an Exchange server that was having DNS issues. It was also setup to keep trying to send e-mail over and over for a year. (Very strange setup, no real IT staff before they hired us to take a look). Essentially, there were queues on the server that had very old messages in a retry loop. When I fixed the DNS issue, I was not thinking and didn't clear the queues of the mess they had. When the DNS started working correctly, out went all the e-mail.
