Hi all. A client of mine suffered a server drive failure, and after restoring their Exchange data store, some users no longer seem to have permissions to move, delete, or flag messages. Clients are connecting to Exchange via Outlook 2003 (not OWA), and they're on the local network. Exchange Server 2003 is running information store version 6.5.7638.1. It is running on top of a domain controller Windows Server 2003 Standard Edition (not R2) with SP2. I know it's not best practice to have your Exchange server and domain controller be the same box; however, we inherited the site like this. Since only a small handful of these users are experiencing this issue, I can only assume that the mail store is corrupt in some way and needs repair. But I don't know how to do it. Searching these forums and the Internet have resulted in nothing concrete I can use to fix this issue. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I'm totally stuck.Gregory Pius Ego vos feci interpretari. If it's a handful of users, I would try to move their mailboxes to another database and test or for something quick, consider exporting the mailbox contents to PST and then delete their mailbox, create a new one and import the contents from the PST again. Before that, try creating a new Outlook profile and test, also test via OWA. Test using Outlook in online mode.Sukh

Funny, I thought this being Exchange and all, there'd be some more exotic solution--like some obscure Exchange repair utility that only the real big machers knew about, or a ritual involving some incense, chanted incantations, and a sacrificed chicken. nah, not really, you can go for the eseutil but I wouldnt if you can do the above. That involves downtime.Sukh
