Exchange Server 2007 Design
I am new to installing Exchange and have some design questions. This is the equipment I have: Two physical servers. Each server has: Server 2008, Dual Quad Core CPU, 16 Gigs Ram, Fiber Channel, and 2 146gig 15k system drives. Fiber Channel San. I have a total of 22 300 gig 10K SAS drives available to use. Each server has multi-pathing capabilities to the SAN. We want to setup Journaling. We currently have about 250 users with only a small amount of growth predicted over the next 12 months (server is licensed for 300 CAL's). About 30 of these users will be heavy usage users, with large mailboxes (4 gigs+), the next 100 or so users will have lower requirements say around 2 gigs and the rest (~120) will need less than a gig (~512 megs). My two main questions are: What would be the best way to setup the LUNS on the SAN? What is the best high availability model for the hardware I have? And how should it be configured. Thanks for any pointers in advance, David
