Exchange Server 2007 New INstallation
Hi,I need to install and deploy an Exchange Server for developing applications on Exchange Server. I am new to Exchange Server so can some one help me with the basic steps for installing an Exchange Server such that there are 10 users who can send mails and calendar to each other. I have Windows Server 2003 R2 and Microsft Exchange Server 2007. I have gone through some documents but things are not clear as to the necessity of Active Directory and its configuration, setting up of mailboxes and the process of bring the Exchange Server into the internet in the sense that mails can hit the exchange server from the internet- Rakesh

there are more steps than mentioned from other member post. to understand exactly what you need to do, i advice you to download the Exchange Server 2007 Help File from the following link and read the starting sections: http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?familyid=555f5974-9258-475a-b150-0399b133fede&displaylang=en this help file is the first exchange help file that contains all the requried information, in details, to understand exchange server 2007 infrastructure and how to start with it. don't start any deployment unless you read (at least the first chapters not chapter, till you reach deployment of new exchange server 2007 chapter) thishelp file. regards,
