Exchange Server 2007 Uninstall Problem
I have been having trouble uninstalling Exchange Server 2007. The machine is Windows 2003 Standard. When I try to uninstall I get this error. "Setup previously failed with performing the action DisasterRecovery". You cannot resume setup by performing the action "uninstall." Any help? Thanks in advance, Josh

See if this helps (it's worked for me a couple of times)....
In your source directory (e.g., i386 or amd64), there is a file called ExchangeServer.msi. Right-click this file and select Repair. When the repair process is finished, reboot the machine, and then try the uninstall process one more time. That should proceed as expected now. If it does not, please post back here.

Sorry it has took me a little to get back with ya but no this did not help with the item. When I did try to go this it started fine and gave this error when trying to repair.
"Could not write vale Server Language to key \software\microsoft\exchange. Verify that you have sufficient access to that key, or contact your support personnel."
I checked the permissions on HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Exchange and I have sufficient access to this key and all below.
Any ideas on this? Thanks Josh

Sounds like you might be having some problems with the OS. Have you tried starting with a fresh install of Windows?

How doI do a manual removal of the exchange 2007. Deleting the folder, reg edits and what else?

I had the same problem and went into the registry at HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/SOFTWARE/MICROSOFT/EXCHANGE under here I found keys for the different pieces. Mine was failing on the MailBox key so I deleted that key. Then I was able to complete the uninstall without the error message.
