I have exchange server 2010 two server DAG which is setup to do Journal all email.  

I am required to change the password  for the Journal account in active directory. I don't know the old password.

Will changing the password in AD for Journal account effect any email flow to journal setup or in general?  

No more than changing any user password affects their ability to receive mail.

Hi,

Journaling is also a normal mailbox. Once you change a user's password on the exchange server, the user must update her password in all of her mail clients.

If she receives email on her smartphone and in outlook, the password must be updated in both of these locations or the email client will not be able to log into the server to send and receive messages.

While that's true, David, it doesn't impact mail flow, which is what he asked about.
