Exchange Server External address
Hi guys, I have configured outlook anywhere on my exchange server 2007 running on windows server 2008r2. The external URL is anymai.domainname.com. Our exchange server is setting behind firewall within the internal domain server.domainname.local (IP: 192.168.0.100) I have created a public DNS record anymail.domainanme.com and points to our router with public IP. I tried to create an account for exchange server on office outlook, it ask me the server address. What is my exchange server external address? I tried to anymail.domainanme.com or even direct IP address but they are not working. Thanks, Ning

Hello, Please make sure your router/firewall port 443 is open and forwarded to Exchange server. Are you creating the Outlook profile from inside the network or outside the network? Please go to https://testexchangeconnectivity.com/Default.aspx and perform the outlook autodiscover test and post the results.James Chong MCITP | EA | EMA; MCSE | M+, S+ Security+, Project+, ITIL msexchangetips.blogspot.com
