Exchange Server External address
Hi guys, I have configured outlook anywhere on my exchange server 2007 running on windows server 2008r2. The external URL is anymail.domainname.com. Our exchange server is setting behind firewall within the internal domain server.domainname.local (IP: 192.168.0.100) I have created a public DNS record anymail.domainanme.com and points to our router with public IP. I tried to create an account for exchange server on office outlook, it ask me the server address. What is my exchange server external address? I tried to anymail.domainanme.com or even direct IP address but they are not working. Thanks, Ning

hello, the server's name should be the server's netbios name, i.e server, ex01, etc. the fqdn should be the netbiosname.domain.tld Also, make sure that dns resolves the fqdn to your server's public ip address and make sure the certificate is in order. If you don't have a public cert you may have to trust the fqdn and install the cert in your trusted cert store. ChazzieChazzie / IT Manager Advanced Door Controls, Inc.
