We need to extract theOST files(Emails, Contacts) for 2 users from an Exchange Server that is Offline. We would like to convert them into a PST to do the recovery. Is there a recommended tool for this? Or a better process?thanks in advance!

if that server cannot be bring online in that case you either need to build a recovery server and restore the backup out there and run exmerge to extract the folders from the mailboxes. After downloading and running ExMerge multiple times, I keep getting this error: [11:18:33] Error opening message store (MSEMS). Verify that the Microsoft Exchange Information Store service is running and that you have the correct permissions to log on. (0x8004011d) I followed the routine described here (http://support.microsoft.com/kb/292509), and still receive the same error. Any suggestions? thanks,
