Exchange Server suspending in Hyper V
Has anyone run into this scenario?
Exchange2010 is running in Hyper V on a Windows 2008R2 machine that we'll call AppSvr. AppSvr starts a System State backup which somehow is causing Exchange2010 to suspend. This has just recently started but it happens every day at the same time.
I know that the System State backup is the cause but why and how do we get it to not put the Hyper V / Exchange in suspension?
Many Thanks!

To understand it correctly , Appsvr tkaes the backup of it's own system state backup ?

Appsvr initiates the backup of its own System State which is what triggers this event.

What backup solution are you using?
Give the vendor support a call about your issueJonas Andersson MCTS: Microsoft Exchange Server 2007/2010 | MCITP: EMA 2007/2010 | MCSE/MCSA Blog:

I will suggest you to let perfmon running for counter CPU,Memory and Disk and figure out the issue. As Jonas said above, if you are using third party bakcup agent then open case with them too.
Which mode you are using is it VSS or streaming backup.
