Exchange and outlook username and password
Hi Everyone, I got a question about outlook periodically ask username and password. I know this question has been asked a lot previously and trust me, I have spent almost 1 day and tried many outlook client side proposed solutions but still not working. I am starting to think it might be the exchange server causing the problem. Our company staffs get emails directly from the exchange server 2007. I have configured an external accepted domain in the Hub Transport and the exchange server installed on a DC (I know I should separate them but we are waiting for another server). It was working well (outlook did not ask username and password) before but recently start this weird behavior. Is there anything on the DC or exchange server might potential cause this problem? Since everyone within our company, can I ask exchange server to allow be connected without username and password? We are running Windows Server 2008 SBS and how can i reinstall the auto discovery service ? Currently, the auto discovery service on IIS is not working. Thanks, Ning ning

Hi, Does the issue occur on certain client user or each user? Dinesh’s article is very useful to troubleshoot the issue. Please take some time to perform it first. Meanwhile, regarding to configure Autodiscover in SBS 2008, please refer to the following article: http://msmvps.com/blogs/bradley/archive/2008/12/18/autodiscover-and-dns.aspx Thanks.
