Exchange announcing .local name instead of .com domain
I have a client who has a business partner that's rejecting their mail. All we get isa #550 4.4.7 QUEUE.Expired.The recipient is claiming the problem is that their spam filter won't accept mail from server.company.local but wants to see mail.company.com.I can't find anything in the send connector to change this.Computer Condiments

I think I just saw a post on this topic. Did they post here as well? I'll find it and post back. The receiving server would only "see" domain.local if that was the users "Reply-to" address. You can look at the user account and find out what is their default address. Perhaps their email address policy isnt configured properly and their external namespace isnt first in the list of proxy addresses. Issue description: So, your client (Org A) has a business partner (Org B). Org B rejects the mails from Org A with NDR 550 4.4.7 QUEUE.Expired. Org B claims that the issue is caused by spam filter of Org B. am I understand it correctly? Check info: 1. Has the mail flow from Org A to Org B ever worked before? 2. Please try to send one test mail from internet-facing exchange server on the Org A to Org B via Telnet, see if the issue can be reproduced? 3. Please follow Mikes suggestion to check the email address 4. Please see my post in this thread
