Hi,
You will need the following:
An Active Directory (DC) domain with DNSA Server for Exchange 2007 (why not 2010?) with an fixed IP and with your DC as the primary DNS server. An external IP address from your ISP (preffered fixed IP)An firewall or modem/router wich forwards port 25, 443 to your Exchange ServerAn external domain name on wich you would like to receive email. In your externals domain DNS server at least 3 records (MX 10 Your external IP address + A records for autodiscover and Outlook Web Access/App)Within Exchange you will need to configure your send and receive connectors and accepted domains.

Can i use a Netgear VMDG280 to configure the ports?

Hi,
Dynamic IPs and DynDNS is supported. You can use the Netgear router because it supports port forwarding. You should read the manual of the VMDG280 on how to forward (TCP) ports 25 and 443 to your Exchange server.
