Exchange domain Change
Hi,I've just built a new Exchange 2007 installation on a new domain.Default Accepted Domain is set to the domain name ("demo.com") instead of the public registered domain name ("Demo.in").Using the Exchange Management Console GUI I've created "Demo.in" as a new Accepted Domain, but cannot find a way to set it as the Default so I can change all my users to have the "user@jd.com" email address format. Nor can I delete the "Demo.inl" Accepted domain because it is the default.Assuming this is permitted, I actually have three questions:1) How can I change the Default Accepted Domain from "demo.com" to "demo.in"?2) Assuming an otherwise default installation, what will I need to do to change all my users accounts to have the correct email address (user@demo.com to user@demo.in)?3) Will 2) set "demo.in" as the default email address for any new users created?Regards,Deepak Srivastava

1. That will be there. You need to add the new domain.2. Add one more email address policy and select all the users from there.3. Change the priority of the new email address policy and make the new one at the top.Raj

Deepak, I am not an expert on Send Mail. Still from exchange side you can check 1. where the mails are getting stuck. Run a message tracking and see if the mails are going out of the exchange box and reaching the Linux box.2. Do u need some kind of recieve connector or some thing on send mail?Raj

Again check on message tracking. Also see if users can do a directory look up. I mean check if they can see the GAL and can do a check name.Raj

Hi,By default, after you setup exchange server it will stamp the main name as the suffix of the email address. But in case we have the different between corporation domain name and the public domain name, we can add the public domain name as the accept domain and then create e-mail policy with that domain name. After that, please change it to the primary email address policy.
