Exchange frontend/backend with redirection of incoming mails
Hello Forum, we want to deploy a new Exchange Server in a Frontend/Backend konfiguration. The Situation: One Exchange Server as Backend with the Mailboxes on it. One Exchange Server as Frontend for https:// request and incoming Mail. One CA Antispam Server for Incoming Mails. The Configuration is: Windows Server 2003, Exchange 2003 with all actual patches. How can we realize that the Frontend Server send incoming Mails to the CA Antispam Server ? We thougt of a solution with a SMTP Connector. I say Thank You for every tip thats helps. Hi Why involve the frontend server in smtp routing? If you're going with a 3rd part antispam, then direct the smtp traffic to that one and then forward them into the backend server? Outgoing, just set up a connector and send them through the 3rd part solution and outJonas Andersson MCTS: Microsoft Exchange Server 2007/2010 | MCITP: EMA 2007/2010 | MCSE/MCSA Blog: http://www.testlabs.se/blog
