Exchange in the cloud
Cloud is so popular nowadays that any applications can be put in the cloud, including Active Directory and Exchange. For those of you who move Active Directory/Exchange to the cloud, what was your main reason and what are the pros/cons that you're
experiencing after the implementation?

Here is good link for you to start from

The question you asking is very open and I am sure you will get many different responses as not all the eggs in the same basket are the same. The general understanding the
cloud services are being more and more popular these days and most of the business starts shifting this direction. At the end of the day major mile stones and drives
are pretty much same, the business needs and requirements will determine if the given solution is acceptable or not. Not all the cases going into cloud is the way to go by the way, and as I said it all depends.

Hi
AS far as i know, you can move exchange to cloud or purchase host exchange service.
You should ask AD question to server forum

Hi
The organisations that I have worked with on Outlook Live (Office 365/Live@edu) maintain their AD onsite and use a combination of federation and FIM/ILM to keep the identities synchronised.
As to the merits of using Office 365 over on-premise Exchange - that will depend on a number of factors but ultimately cost will drive this decision for most organisations.
