Cloud is so popular nowadays that any applications can be put in the cloud, including Active Directory and Exchange. For those of you who move Active Directory/Exchange to the cloud, what was your main reason and what are the pros/cons that you're experiencing after the implementation?

For the majority of your work, has Active Directory/Exchange gone to the cloud?

Hi The organisations that I have worked with on Outlook Live (Office 365/Live@edu) maintain their AD onsite and use a combination of federation and FIM/ILM to keep the identities synchronised. As to the merits of using Office 365 over on-premise Exchange - that will depend on a number of factors but ultimately cost will drive this decision for most organisations. Steve
