Hi I had a problem in installing Exchange server 2007. Previously I had installed exchange 2003 in one virtual machine and after i removed that virtual machine from my domain(in AD also). Now when i am trying to install Exchange server2007, it is giving an error that"this domain already containsexchange server 2003 sosetup can't be continued'. Can anyone help in this issue?

So this is just a test environment or? Although you should be able to install Exchange 2007 in the forest (if you use another NetBIOS name for server), you could try to delete the E2K3 server object in ADSI Edit and retry the installation.

Hi you use exchange 2003 setup /disasterrecovery on new virtual machine, then prepare AD for exchange 2007 with setup /pl (preparelegacyexchange) then setup /ps, setup /pd, if tou have any concerns don't hesitate to contact me.

He shouldn't run the E2K3 setup wizard with the /DiasterRecvery switch ashe needs to install E2K7NOT E2K3. What's the error you get when you try to install E2K7?
