Hi I have 2 Exchange servers (ExchangeA ,ExchangeB). ExchangeA is configured as a front-end server & enabled RPC-HTTP front end. ExchangeB is a simple Exchange server. Both the servers have mailboxes and users. when i try to access the users of ExchangeA thru OWA (http://ExchangeA/exchange), it is not prompting for credentials simply displays an error message "HTTP/1.1 503 Service Unavailable" also can i have mailstores,users, public folders on front-end server? It's best practice to not have any mailboxes on the front end server since this is usually exposed to the public network. Hi, Thanks for the reply. I have created front-end servers & back-end servers. Now i'm able to access the users using OWA. But i'm unable to access the users using Outlook 2007. The setup is like this, the 2 exchange servers are installed in a Virtual Machine which are in the same domain. But Outlook is installed on the desktop machine which is part of another domain. Does it make any sense. Also i have enabled RPC-HTTP front-end & RPC-HTTP back-end options. When i try to create a new profile by entering the name & click "Check Names" option an error message is displayed "Outlook cannot log on. Verify that you are connected to the network and are using the proper server and mailbox name. The connection to the Microsoft Exchange Server is unavailable.Outlook must be online or connected to complete this action" Please give any suggestions.... Thanks Inmar

Is there a domain trust set up in between both those domains? Are they in the same forest? Those domains don't have any trust relationship. They are in different forest. Is it possible to access Exchange server 2003 users using Outlook 2007 ? Is there any constraints? still the problem persists. Any soultions..... Thanks Inmar

PROBLEM RESOLVED While creating a profile we need to enter only the Exchange server name not the FQDN. This resolves my problem. Now i'm able to access the users using outlook 2007 Thanks for everyone's reply Inmar
