Hi , I am using 2003 server in this i had installed active directory .In this raised functional level as native mode ,set proper permissions and installed necessory softwares. apart from this i have one 2003 server and this system i added to active directory . in this i am planning to install Exchange 2007 SP1 , in this i had installed all necessary software . In installation process it's giving on could not find any available Domain controller. Kindly help how to resolve this issue. Regards Velu M

Is the server you are trying to install Exchange on also a Global Catalog server? Hi, Can you confirm if you can ping the DC from your server. Also try to telnet the DC form the server on the RPC port. Check the Exchange setup logs located on the c drive to find more details on the issue and post here. Mahendra

Agree with above, Please check Martin advise and see whether you are able to reolve DC from this server. You can use NSLOOKUP and DCDiag utility to verify DC connetivity. Run the Dcdiag command line tool to test the domain controller health. To do this, run dcdiag /s:<Domain Controller Name> at a command prompt on the Exchange Server. Use the output of Dcdiag to discover the root cause of any failures or warnings that it reports. Check DNS settings on the server. If you can, aviod installing exch on the DC (if that's what youre doing). Post the setup log so we can see what the issue is. Sukh

Velu, you have got some good tips already to help you troubleshoot your problem and here is one from me. Don´t install Exchange 2007 SP1. As far as I know, that version is no longer supported. Download Exchange 2007 SP3 (it´s a full installation), and install that one. Martina Miskovic
