Exchange server 2007 with 2 NIC's
Hello all,
My dept. using own exchange server 2007.
It's one server without cluster as member server on local domain.
The exchange sever have 2 nic's, but now, I using only one (the other is disable.) for example with IP :192.168.100.100
(the IP with start 192.168.xxx.xxx is the organization range)
The DNS know that IP to send\receive E-mails
My Question is :
For redundancy, I want to resuscitate the other nic and connect it to other vlan (for example with IP: 192.168.200.100).
And to add MX record to DNS. (records to both NIC's IP)
At the end, I want - the down time of exchange server will be near to Zero (for network problems...)
Is it work well ?
Thanks,
Zvika

Hi,
Thanks for your comment.
Nic team is good for redundancy when you using one IP (or vlan).
and when the switch networks is stable .
but, what is the better way for unstable switch network ?
is what I wrote before , will work well ?
Thanks,
Zvika
