Exchange server 2013 roles error

Hello,

After successfully installed Microsoft Exchange 2013 coexistence with Exchange 2007, I run into many problems. I am getting event ID 1023:Microsoft-Windows-Perflib: Windows cannot load the extensible counter DLL MSExchangeIS. The first four bytes (DWORD) of the Data section contains the windows error code.

Event ID 6003: MSExchange Common: ConnectitityLog: Failed to create log directory: Access is denied to path. What kind of access permission do I give to the file directory?

Hello,

For event id 1023, here is the article for your reference.

Event ID 1023 -Performance Library Availability

http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc727009(v=ws.10).aspx

If the event persists, I suggest you post the event id to windows server forum.

For event id 6003, please make sure that the path of the log directory does not contain any directory with read-only permissions.

Jimmy,

What was the solution from MS?

I found a solution for first error at Exchange 2013.

By any cause Exchange 2013 dont install files for ExchangeIS perfomance counters.

So the fix is:

1. Copy md*.* from "\setup\serverroles\common\perf\amd64" at Exchange 2010 sp3 installation dvd to installed one 2013 (by default "C:\Program Files\Microsoft\Exchange Server\V15\Bin\perf\AMD64")
2. With admin command promt go to installed location "cd "C:\Program Files\Microsoft\Exchange Server\V15\Bin\perf\AMD64"" and load perfomance counter dll "lodctr mdbperf.ini"
3. All done. Now can check #ExchangeIS counters with perfmon utility and got fun with less alerts/errors in system event log.

The solution above from JcVai works but also needs perfnm.h copying as well into the same location
