What exactly is not working with the server?

Will it not start?

Will Exchange not start?

Did the hard drive(s) fails?

Could you provide version? Exchange 2013?

Would seem obvious that if you post in the E2K13 forum, it's E2K13... but someone just posted about 5.5 so we never know.

Anyway, there are probably other, more practical solutions to your problem, than trying to export an entire .EDB file into a .pst file (if that is even possible...?????).

  1. Agreed please provide more details such as the version of Exchange for the EDB and also where you want the data to really end up, i.e. in PST or are you planning on injecting it back into a Production Exchange server and if so what version is the production server
  2. How big is the Offline EDB and how many mailboxes are within?
  3. What happened to the Server to cause you to need to do this extraction?

Can you please tell the reason, why your sever not performing well and its goes down then I can suggest you a better option for it.

Otherwise You can easily import your EDB files into .PST format which supports the outlook.By the use of EDB to PST converter  software use can convert all the unlimited mail box which is in .EDB format on your server in to .PST (outlook file format).
